Charles Reznikoff: The Heart of an American Jewish Poet
Rabbi Janet Marder
Together we'll explore the work of this important 20th century poet, one of the founders of the Objectivist Movement. Reznikoff drew on his personal, familial and religious background to create narrative poems that capture the American Jewish experience of his time. His work is strikingly accessible, moving and powerfully evocative of the full sweep of Jewish history, from Biblical times to the Holocaust.
