When you support the BJE, you help 800 educators, 55 schools and more than 10,000 students fuel a sustainable Jewish future. These are just a few examples of how your dollar helps improve and extend Jewish learning:
- $3,600 funds a Holocaust survivor who accompanies 25 teens on a journey to Poland and Israel, teaching them through personal stories so that the next generation never forgets.
- $2,500 helps create an original educational program about Israeli arts and culture that travels to at least ten schools, and reaches 2,000 students and 70 teachers each year.
- $1,000 brings two children with special needs and their families to a weekend-long Jewish camp experience where they can celebrate Judaism in a fun, welcoming environment.
- $500 helps one teacher become certified in Jewish Service Learning so s/he can make Judaism relevant to students involved in environmental and social justice work.
- $200 funds an innovative learning seminar that reaches 18 young adults who are seeking to connect to each other and to their Jewish community.
- $60 enables one synagogue school teacher to participate in a professional development retreat to develop teaching tools that will enhance the learning experience for 20 students.
- $25 buys 1 new book, cd or dvd that is loaned out to dozens of teachers every year to help them broaden and improve their curriculum.
Ignite a spark in the next generation of Jewish learners. Support the BJE by giving generously. Your donation is 100% tax-deductible as allowed by law.
